Description:
Located at the west end of Santa Rosa Island, this massive, circa-1834 structure was used for military operations until WWII. Take a self-guided tour through its history-filled rooms, including the former officers' quarters which eventually were used to house Apache prisoners, one of which was Geronimo. Besides touring the fort and museum, you can also enjoy the pristine beaches. The tour takes about 4 hours round trip when walking and 3 hours when biking.#13;#10;
